During the year 2013, the MEDIA Programme fund ten single and one slate Balkan projects. Between them we find many well known directors and production companies with a long and important catalog and at the same time, newbies with great potential. This call has been the last one under this name MEDIA 2007 and rules. From January 2014 Creative Europe will replace the MEDIA, MEDIA Mundus and Culture programmes. With a total budget of € 1.4 billion (2014 – 2020), Creative Europe represents a budget increase of 9 % compared to the previous programmes. All call for proposal under Creative Europe are now online.
Lets browse the complete list of Balkan projects supported by the last and the only one call during 2013 of MEDIA Programme for the development.
Three films from Croatia will be produced during the coming years with the help of Media Programme.  My Grandpa is an Alien/ Moj Dida je Vanzemaljac, by Goran Dukic, production: Studio Dim received 30.000 eur. (49,76% co-financing). The awarded multimedia project will be adapted for the cinema. The Croatian Documentary Concrete Love/ Stvarna ljubav (Working title: Vitić_dances) by Boris Bakal, production: Petnaesta Umjetnost received 20.000 eur. (49,78% co-financing).
Two films will be produced with the Media Programme fund from Greece and Romania respectively. From Greece are:
 The Greek documentary The New Plastic Road by Irini Michailidou, production: Zero Zero Productions received a total amount of 31.250 eur. (50% co-financing).
The Romanian Documentary Despre Sine si Celalalt/ About One΄s Self and the Other by Ionut Piturescu, production: Saga Film SRL, Alexandru Teodorescu received 41.000 eur. (59,48% co-financing) Raw and Cooked by Gabriel Achim, production: Green Film, co-producer Dan Burlac received 30.000 eur. (38,89% co-financing). It was awarded a scholarship by the Script 2 Film Workshops of the Mediterranean Film Institute (MFI) Erased, a fiction film from Slovenia, production: Gustav Film Produkcija in Storitve, received 24.000 eur. (44,44% co-financing). What are you looking at? from Bosnia and Herzegovina, production: Udruzenje Centar za savremenu umjetnost-Sarajevo, received 20.000 (47,62% co-financing).
One single and one slate project will be produced with the help of Media Programme from Bulgaria The Other Man by Argo Film received 24.556 eur. (49,27% co-financing) And one fiction slate project by Gala Film received a total amount of 101.000 eur. (46,15% co-financing).
