From 4 to 9 March, BOZAR CINEMA will screen eight Greek films not previously shown in Belgium. Most of them will be shown in the presence of the director, with whom there will be a Q&A session each time.
Unfair World by Philippos Tsitos
The series will be rounded off by a masterclass “Long Live the Crisis: From New Cinema to Nouvelle Vague” given by the renowned film critic Michel Demopoulos, (director of Thessaloniki International Film Festival from 1991 to 2004) in which he will make the connection between the Greek cinema of the last five years and of the past. In this framework, the professor and director of the Greek Film Archive, Maria Komninos, will give a conference on Theo Angelopoulos on 26/3 at CINEMATEK.
Beside the 8 films mentioned above, CINEMATEK, from 4/3 to 20/3 will show a selection of Greek films to give a more complete image of the contemporary Greek cinema.
