European Film Festival 2014

Between 9 and 15 of May 2014, the European Film Festival is holding its 18th edition in Bucharest and in Targu-Mures from 16 to 18 of the same month. Showing 42 films from 25 countries, this year the festival celebrates the Greek Presidency of the EU screening a short selection of recent Greek films, inviting Alexandros Avranas and his actress Eleni Roussinou from Miss Violence. There will also be a rare concert by the multi-faceted guitarist Yorgos Nousis.

With Romanian director Adrian Sitaru as the honorary ambassador, beside the programmed feature films the festival also will screen short films of Sitaru and works from the students of the National University of Theatre and Film I.L.Caragiale.


Where Are You Bucharest?

Besides showing Miss Violence by Alexandros Avranas, Elina Psykou’s The Eternal Return of Antonis Paraskevas and September by Penny Panayotopoulou, the 18th European Film Festival is screening a number of Balkan films and documentaries:
