With the underline “Film will never die”, Tainiorama 2014, from 15 of May till July the 9th is bringing to the Greek audience a 56-days marathon of 168 films on 35mm. Showing 3 films per day with a low ticket price and a total cost of 40 Euros for the whole festival, Tainiorama, for more than 20 years is still a point of reference for the Greek audience. For another year the festival will be hosted at the legendary basement of Asty Theater, which is going to pay its respects to great directors and famous films.
Tainiorama 2014 will present tributes to Modern Canadian Cinema, Balkan Cinema, Italian Satire, American Indie Cinema, British Cinema, the ex-Yugoslavian Cinema, French Culture, and the Middle-East, screening films of their most acclaimed representatives, such as Luis Bunuel, Jean-Luc Godard, Francois Truffaut, Dario Argento, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Federico Fellini, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Emir Kusturica, Alfred Hitchcock, Luchino Visconti, Pedro Almodovar, Park Chan-Wook and others.

Tainiorama is an initiative of the distribution company Ama Films which, against the harsh times, insists on presenting the world’s cinema classics to young generations and preserving film memory.
