The 9th SEEFest – The South East European Film Festival of Los Angeles concluded on the 5th of May with the Romanian – USA co-production Puzzle by Andrei Zinca, announcing the winners of this year’s competition.

Among the 35 films screened from all over the world, there were many Balkan entries that not only participated in the festival, but also won many awards!

The Best Feature Film – Grand Jury Prize was shared between Seduce Me by Marko Santic (Slovenia) and Vis-A-Vis by Nevio Marasovic (Croatia). The Best First Feature award went to The Unsaved by Igor Cobileanski (Romania) and the Best Cinematography in a Feature Film was also shared between Dan Alexandru for the film Puzzle (Romania) and Felix Novo de Oliveira for the film My Beautiful Country by Michaela Kezele (Germany/Serbia/Croatia).

The Best Documentary Film was chosen to be Gangster of Love by Nebojsa Slijepcevic (Croatia) and on the other hand, the award for Best Cinematography in a Documentary won Sonja Blagojevic for the movie Kosma (Serbia).
