The 40th Seattle International Film Festival

The 40th Seattle International Film Festival kicks off today, May 15th and will go on until June 8th 2014, screening a great variety of international feature, documentaries and short films. This year, six Balkans films managed to stand out and be selected for SIFF 2014.

The Dream of the Butterfly by Yilmaz Erdogan

The Dream of the Butterfly by Yilmaz Erdogan and Class Enemy by Rok Bicek will screen in the Contemporary World Cinema category, along with the Romanian films The Japanese Dog by Tudor Cristian Jurgiu and Quod Erat Demonstrandum by Andrei Gruzsniczki. The two last films also participate in the Films in Bellevue section.

Standing Aside, Watching by Yorgos Servetas and Viktoria by Maya Vitkova will represent the Balkan peninsula in the New Directors Competition at Seattle International Film Festival 2014.
