Motovun film festival opens its gates at 26 of July and will last till the 30th for its 17th edition. In the official competition, the “main programme” one film from Serbia, one from Greece and two from Croatia will compete, along with seventeen international productions, for the Propeler awards. This year Motovun presents the best of Turkish cinema in a Special Turkey programme, with 10 films produced between 2001 - 2013. In the same section a Cypriot/Greek co-production, Kismet, is scheduled too, as Kismet depicts how Turkish soap operas conquered the hearts of the viewers among the world. In the “life is a performance” section where the films are inspired and dedicated to important personalities, among the six presented, the four are from Balkan countries.
