Held during Sarajevo Film Festival (4-22 August, 2015), CineLink co-production market is embracing a more ambitious approach to the market projects it supports by continuing to organise preparatory workshops based on the state and the needs of the Southeastern European film industry in order to serve as a true catalyst for development and financing of internationally competitive projects.
For that reason, this year CineLink will be operating two separate Calls for entries. The first one, expiring January 15, is intended chiefly, but not exclusively, for projects from first and second time filmmakers interested in participation in the preparatory workshop scheduled for the late March/early April slot. Not more than 6 projects will be selected for this phase and they will all be presented at the CineLink coproduction market during the Sarajevo Film Festival in August 2015.
Second Call for entries will be published on April and it will will target projects from established authors, in advanced stage of development and financing, looking for a good market access point in CineLink to further their conversion and placement effort.
Helping eshtablish a whole generation of authors and producers from the region on the international film scene, CineLink believes that their experience and knowledge is tremendously important for upcoming filmmakers, a real foundation for a dynamic film industry in the region. To this end, and in addition to their regular collaborators, CineLink has invited some of the leading directors and producers of the Balkans to take part in its workshops, give master classes, discuss the selected projects and share their visions of cinema. Directors Aida Begić and Srdan Golubović along with producers Ankica Jurić Tilić and Miroslav Mogorović will be the guests lecturers and mentors at the 13th CineLink project development workshop.
