Only 1 day left to the start of London Turkish Film Festival.
Bringing together London audiences for Turkish movies, celebrities, seminars and workshops since 1993, The London Turkish Film Festival (LTFF) begins to celebrate its 20th edition on May 7, 2015.

In addition to more than 1000 screenings, the LTFF has welcomed the people who made the movies with visits from over 400 directors, producers, actors, musicians, authors and technicians.

The 20th LTFF Opening Gala celebration

With the support of the Turkish Culture & Tourism Ministry and Yunus Emre Institute, the Festival’s 20th Opening Gala will take place on May 7 at Cineworld, part of the landmark O2 Millenium Dome. To fit the celebratory mood of the evening, the Festival begins ten days of screenings throughout London with a comedy, the newly completed ‘Niyazi Gül, The Galloping Vet’, directed by Hakan Algül and starring Ata Demirer and Demet Akbağ. The director and members of the cast, crew and production team will be there to introduce this premiere screening.

The Festival΄s 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award goes to Aytac Arman...

This year, the Festival is delighted to present the Lifetime Achievement Award to Aytaç Arman, a master actor whose many roles have won him a special place in the hearts of Turkish filmgoers. On Sunday May 10, 38 years after the event in which he took part, Aytaç Arman, will introduce and discuss the documentary ‘We Hit the Road’, the story of the 1977 march to Ankara by film workers.
