Ognjen Svilicic΄s These Are The Rules (Croatia/France/Serbia/FYROM, 2014), is named Best Film at the 29th Herceg Novi - Montenegro Film Festival. In addition to the Grand Prix – Grand Golden Mimoza award, Svilicic΄s film was granted the Golden Mimoza for Best Screenplay, “for the film΄s extremely simple and moving story, which caused strong feelings and exposed the common problems any community is facing”, according to the Jury, composed by filmmkers Yves Boisset, Goran Markovic and Drasko Djurovic

The Croatian production also won a thrid award, the Golden Mimoza for Best Actor, for the protagonist Emir Hadzihafisbegovic΄s performance, by “playing an impressive and extremely unusual character, carrying by himself the emotional story”, in the Jury΄s words. 

The Golden Mimoza for Best Director, on the other hand, wen to Ivona Juka and her her feature debut film You Carry Me (Croatia/Slovenia/Serbia/Montenegro, 2015). "Juka managed to reconcile a very complicated film structure with a multitude of characters and creative use of filmic time”. The Croatian filmmaker thanked the Jury for this award with special meaning to her, due to the fact that her film is a Montenegrin co-production. 

Golden Mimoza for Best Director, Ivona Juka

Golden Mimoza for Best Actress went to Ariane Labed for her role in Love Island by Jasmila Zbanic (Croatia/Germany/Switzerland/Bosnia-Herzegovina, 2014), while, Milan Tvrdisic΄s cinematography for Darko Bajic΄s We Will Be The World Champions (Serbia/Slovenia/Croatia, 2015) earned him a Golden Mimoza for Best Cinematography. No One΄s Child by Vuk Rsumovic (Serbia/Croatia, 2013) received a Special Jury Award for his work with non-professional actors. Cinematograher Petar Popovic got a Special Recognition for his creative camera use for the film Travelator by Dusan Milic (Serbia, 2014).

The Award of the Živko Nikolic Foundation was given to Gorcilo by Milan Karadzic (Montenegro/Serbia, 2015).

Before the awards announcement, the president of the Jury, French director Yves Boisset referred to the unanimity of the Jury on the awarded films and to the importance of the festival as a whole for the promotion of the New Balkan cinema.
