The 33rd edition of the
Golden Rose Film Festival, will be held from
2-11 October in the city of Varna, Bulgaria, with 48 new features and short films in the programme, which will also showcase 7 Bulgarian classics, as part of the 100 years of Bulgarian Cinema festivities.

Beside the screenings, Golden Rose 2015 will host a two-day
(9–10 October) roundtable, called
Bulgarian Films’s Centenary: Strategies, Perspectives And Possible Solution For Years To Come. Experts and professionals such as
Ivan Popyordanov, Sevda Shishmanova, Miroslav Borsos, Diana Andreeva,
Galina Toneva, Bozhidar Manov, Mira Staleva, Henry Koulev among others will deliberate, among others, on the role of Bulgarian film within the framework of Bulgaria’s general cultural strategy, the economic performance of audiovisual industry, film festivals and their sustainability, cultural habits of households, film heritage digitisation.
Finally, within the festival, a number of the
CREATIVE EUROPE MEDIA Sub-programme΄s representatives will elaborate on who and how is eligible to apply, what are the steps to develop a project, what applying means practically, deadlines, etc. Four of the movies participating in the Festival, have received development support by the MEDIA Sub-programme:
