The 12th
Romanian Film Festival in London (RFF), starts today in the capital of UK with selected screenings of 5 recent Romanian features already making their way to festivals around the world. Each screening will be accompanied by a discussion between the audience and the people behind the films.
RFF 2015 will focus on the issues which have been sweeping through Europe in recent years – the self-realisation of minorities, the problems of constructing civil society, and the rights of the individual versus the state. In this way, the RFF stands as a record of its own history, a history of the times in which it flourishes, as well as a record of individual lives and stories.
British audiences will have the opportunity to watch the UK premieres of the following Romanian tiltes:

The Moromete Family (Romania, 1988) will be the festival opening film, and it will be followed by a Q&A with director himself, hosted by the
EBRD Deputy Director of Communications, Larry Sherwin, and scriptwriter Mike Phillips.
