Eurimages Fund supports 16 co-productions

At its 142nd meeting held from 8-11 March in Tirana, the Board of Management of the Council of Europe΄s Eurimages Fund agreed to support 13 fiction and three documentary feature-film projects for a total amount of €4,485,494


The list of supported projects:

A Gentle Creature by Sergei Loznitsa (France, Germany, Lithuania)
Thelema by Joachim Trier (Norway, Denmark, France)
Abracadabra by Pablo Berger (Spain, France)
Freedom or Die (Sloboda ili smrt) by Vladimir Blazevski (Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia)
Happy End by Michael Haneke (France, Germany, Austria)
Hálito Azul (Blue Breath) by Rodrigo Areias (documentary, Portugal, France, Finland)
Return to Montauk by Volker Schlöndorff (Germany, France, Ireland)
Zagros by Sahim Omar Kalifa (Belgium, The Netherlands)
Muse by Jaume Balagueró (Spain, Ireland, Belgium, France)
Foam at the Mouth (Ar putam uz lupam) by Janis Nords (Latvia, Poland, Lithuania)
My Happy Family (Meine glückliche Familie) by Simon Gross, Nana Ekvtimishvili (Germany, Georgia, France)
Lida by Anna Eborn (documentary, Denmark, Sweden)                                       
Law of the Land (Maan laki) by Jussi Hiltunen (Finland, Norway)
The Prince and the Dybbuk (Ksiaze i Dybuk) by Piotr Rosolowski, Elwira Niewiera (documentary - Poland, Germany)
Le Fidèle by Michael Roskam (Belgium, France)
I Figli della note (Children of the Night) by Andrea De Sica (Italy, Belgium)

In the framework of the Distribution Support Programme, (Support for marketing and publicity costs), the Board granted its support to 36 films released before 31 December 2015. The total support granted amounts to €211,050.

Moreover, the board recommended unanimously the renewal of the mandate of executive director Roberto Olla for a four-year term running from 1 July 2016. This renewal for a fifth term reaffirms the confidence shown in the executive director’s commitment to his management of the fund and his contribution to its development.
