Reaching its 20th edition this year, the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival aka PÖFF, the only FIAPF-accredited (International Federation of Film Producers Associations) competitive non-specialized film festival in Northern Europe takes place from 11-27 November.

For 17 whole days, Tallinn, the Estonian, capital transforms as every year into a big movie theatre, screening a number of 200 films in its categories and screening around 1000 national and international guests.

The 2016 edition will see three competition programs – the International Main Competition, the International First Features and the Estonian Film Competition.

Eastern Business by Igor Cobileanski

Eastern Business by Igor Cobileanski and Lines by Vassilis Mazomenos will represent the Balkans in this year’s Main Competition section of the festival, while Wedding Dance by Cigdem Sezgin will participate in the First Features Competition, a program that shows full-length movies from rising talents, chosen carefully by the festival’s international team and evaluted by a jury consisting of international film industry professionals.

As in the previous years, in addition to PÖFF’s main program there is a wide selection of special screenings and non-competitive programs like Panorama, Forum, Hot Topics, DOC@PÖFF etc.
