The 7th edition of Crossroads Co-Production Forum is open for applications until the 9th of July 2012. The producers or directors that want to apply must have a fictional feature-length film project involving either the Mediterranean or Balkan regions as well as Central Europe in a manner of production, scene selection or general elements. Although geographically separated, the forum marks the start of a new relationship between these countries through the international language of cinema.
The forum, organized by the
Thessaloniki International Film Festival, aims to support local talents and introduces them to to a variety of industry professionals from all over the world. It will give them a chance to distribute their creations in wider area than the local market. With a constant purpose to scout new talented people, Crossroads focuses on to countries from the regions with a low production capacity.
The awarded films will be granted post-production services (image & sound) from 2|35 Inc and the CNC Development Award of 7.000 euros. The producer of the winning project will also be granted a free accreditation for the Producer’s Network, Cannes Film Festival 2013 session and Sofia Meetings of the Sofia International Film Festival is selecting a project to be presented during their session in March 2013. Also, the MFI Script 2 Film Workshops is awarding a scholarship to one of the projects and Initiative Film (France) is offering its services to one Greek project.
