A sensation of Balkan air blows from Los Angeles in Southern California since the 7th edition of the South East European Film Festival went public on 3rd of May.
With the Balkan Peninsula and its history as inspiring theme, a total of twenty-two featured films, documentaries and short films will be screened in the Goethe-Institut and the UCLA James Bridges Theater. The main purpose of the festival is to give its audience a multi-perspective view of the region, seemingly fractured, yet bonded through cultural links.

The films of Alexandru Maftei`s Hello! How Are You?, Kristina Nikolova`s Faith Love and Whiskey, Pluton Vasi`s Maya and  Bojan Vuletić`s Practical Guide to Belgrade with Singing and Crying along with other productions will contest for the festival`s awards given by a set multi-ethnic juries, one for each award. The awarded categories are the Bridging The Boarders, Best Documentary, Best Debut Feature, Best Short Film and Best Cinematography.

On 5th of May the festival will hold the 4th edition of Business Conference at Goethe-Institut. With main theme “Connecting Hollywood and South East Europe” headed by a board composed by professionals that have experience in both regions.

The South Eastern Europe Film Festival will be open until the 7th of May. You can view the full programme here.
