Romanian film wins Sarajevo Film Festival

Everybody in Our Family, sophomore feature by Radu Jude, after The Happiest Girl in the World, won the Heart of Sarajevo prize at the end of the nine-day Sarajevo festival 2012 and 16,000 € provided by Council of Europe. Three other prizes were received by Romanian directors: the Heart of Sarajevo Award for Best Documentary Film for Turn of the Lights directed by Ivana Mladenovic, the Special Jury Mention for Short Film Daddy Rulz by Radu Potcoava and last but not least a Work in Progress Award – Special Mention for Totonel by Alexander Nanau. Uliks Fehmiu won the Best Actor Award for his performance in the Serbian movie Redemption Street.Marija Pikic won the Best Actress Award for her role in Bosnia΄s Aida Begic΄s movie Children of Sarajevo. The film also awarded by a two-member jury Cineuropa Award presented by the Cineuropa Portal. The Turkish-Greek coproduction Beyond the Hill by Emin Alper won the Special Jury Award, provided by Agnes B. Croatian prominent film producer, Branko Lustig received the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo Award at this year΄s Sarajevo Film Festival.

Cinelink Awards 
CineLink, the industry section of the Sarajevo Film Festival, announced its awards for the best projects pitched in the southeastern Europe. This year, a strong line up of 17 projects was chosen out of 80 submissions. 
Greek writer-director Syllas Tzoumerkas whose Homeland competed in the Venice International Critics’ Week in 2010, won the Eurimages Coproduction Development Award and 30,000 for a project co-written by Youla Boudali and produced by Maria Drandaki by the title A Blast. Alen Drljevic won the CNC Award and €10000 for Men Don΄t Cry, while the Arte International Relations CineLink award in the amount of 6,000 went to The Good Wife directing debut of Mirjana KaranovicCineLink Excellence Award was given to Quiet People by Ognjen Svilicic and the EAVE Scholarship was awarded to Turkey΄s Ahu Ozturk for Dust Cloth. In addition, one Serbian Cinelink project has been awarded with Restart Award in amount of 20.000 Euro: Barbarians, by Ivan Ikic
