As Serge Losique, President of the Montreal World Film Festival, anounced on the closing ceremony of the 35th MWFF, the 2012 edition will be held from August 23 to September 3. The Montreal World Film Festival is an exciting international film event that highlights independent films, filmmakers, and screenwriters from around the globe. In addition to its program of screenings, the Festival will present a wide series of film-related activities, to help filmmakers reach the broadest possible audience.
Greek filmmaker, writer and producer, Vassilis Mazomenos has recently completed his seventh movie 10th day. Montreal’s selection committee has screened the film and proudly announced its international premiere at the 36th Montreal World Film Festival. The movie is expected to hit theaters the upcoming winter and has been pre-selected as well for the 2013 edition of Fantasporto Film Festival in Portugal, which will take place from March, 1st till March 10th next year.
10th Day by Vassilis Mazomenos, an X-rated production, is about a day in the life of an Afghan Muslim in Athens, who is surrounded by memories of his homeland and his family loss.
