Balkan films will have a strong presence again this year in all the categories of the festival. There is of course the
Romanian Days were the best of the most recent national films will be showcased, many of which in world premieres, as well as the
Focus Greece section were audiences will have the opportunity to watch some of the most interesting Greek films made the last three years.

Last but not least, though French, we mention Cristi Puiu`s Trois Exercices d΄Interpretation which will be showcased as a Special Screening. As stated in the synopsis the film is actually “three films based on "Three Conversations" by Russian writer and philosopher Vladimir Solovyov. The actors΄ ΄exercises΄ developed into a minimalistic trilogy on cinema and literature, social and spiritual life. The trilogy is the result of a workshop of famous Romanian director Cristi Puiu at the French artists’ studio Chantiers Nomades.”
