For the 9th time, the highly anticipated Works-in-Progress will present 19 films in post-production at the Karlovy Vary IFF. This year, the exciting program  featuring films from Central and Eastern Europe will present the works of nine newcomers and several well-established directors including Stefan Komandarev, whose previous project World Is Big and Salvation Lurks Around the Corner made the Oscar shortlist, and Darko Lungulov, author of the award-winning Here and There.

The program will also include the newest works by two established women directors Karin Babinska and Jitka Rudolfova, scheduled for domestic release at the end of the year. The organizers expect high interest in the directorial debut of Mina Djukic, one of the producers behind the acclaimed Tilva Ros.
