60th Pula Film Festival Croatia from 13 to 27 July 2013

The 60th Pula Film Festival, the most popular cultural event in the Republic of Croatia will be held from 13 to 27 July 2013. This year, the Festival΄s friend country is the whole European Union. As a result films from all 27 EU countries will be presented in the international section through feature-length and short film, selected by Festival΄s artistic director Zlatko Vidačković

This year, the national program will include the largest number of films ever. Pula Film Festival surely deserves its title of the oldest national film festival in the world, as it will screen twenty – four films. Fourteen films will be presented in the main section and ten more as co-productions with a minority Croatian share. 

Films of National Program: 20/07/2013 - 27/07/2013

The film Handymen (2013, 75 min) by Dalibor Matanic will open this year΄s festival. Among other films, which will premiere from 20 to 27 July 2013 are the films:

One Shot by Robert Orhel (2013, 76 min)
Cowboys by Tomislav Mirsic (2013, 90 min)
Projections by Zrinko Ogresta (2013, 80 min)
Hush by Lukas Nola (2013, 86 min)
The Bug by Filip Sovagovic (2013, 100 min)
A Stranger by Bobo Jelcic (2013, 87 min)
The Farewell by Dan Oki (2013, 80 min)
Simon Magus 3D by Petar Oreskovic (2013, 90 min)

The Mysterious Boy (2013, 88 min) by Drazen Zarkovic and The Priest΄s Children (2013, 96 min) by Vinko Bresan, will also participate in the competition program, even though they΄ve already been released in Croatia. 

The film Short Circuits (2013) by Dario Jurican, Sonja Tarokic, Hana Jusic and Andrija Mardesic, will be screened out of competition as a wish of its author and producer.

My Beautiful Country by Michaela Kezele (Germany-Serbia-Croatia)
When Day Breaks by Goran Paskaljević (Serbia-Croatia-France)
Feed Me With Your Words by Martin Turk (Slovenia-Croatia-Italy)
The Forgerer by Goran Markovic (Serbia-Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina)
Good to Go by Matevz Luzar (Slovenia-Croatia-Czech Republic)
Circles by Srdan Golubovic (Serbia-Croatia-Germany-France-Slovenia)
Shangai Gypsy by Marko Nabersnik (Slovenia-Croatia)
Dual by Nejc Gazvoda (Slovenia-Croatia-Denmakr)
Adria Blues by Miroslav Mandic (Slovenia-Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina)

The jury, composed by the screenwriter and director Petar Krelja, producer Stanislav Babić, actress Gordana Gadžić, director of photography Slobodan Trninić, and director and editor Damir Čučić will decide on the awards.
