The second instalment of the
LET΄S CEE Film Festival will take place between
September 13th and September 21st in Vienna, presenting around 60 extraordinary productions from
Central and Eastern Europe. Among many others, the guest list also includes three Academy Award winners:
Branko Lustig from Croatia,
Allan Starski from Poland and
István Szabó from Hungary. One of this year΄s special highlights will be the screening of
Schindler΄s List in celebration of its 20th
anniversary, as well as the retrospectives on Alexander Sokurov and Damjan Kozole, and a live scoring of the film classic Battleship Potemkin by Austrian turbo-polka band Russkaja.
In the Feature Film Competition will be screened the following films from the Balkan Peninshula:

The Short Film Competition section is called Films About Civil Society and will screen the films Rabbitland from Serbia by directors Ana Nedeljkovic and Nikola Majdak, Stremt 89 from Romania by Anda Puscas and Dragos Pulea, also from Romania the film One Year After by Cristian Pascariu and from Kosovo the films Shkurta by Arzana Kraja and The Return by Blerta Zeqiri.
The LET’S CEE & EKRAN Master Classes will be led by the exceptional film director Alexander Sokurov from Russia, Polish Oscar winner and production designer Alan Starski and Polish film director and co-founder of the Wajda Film School Wojciech Marczewski.
Other renowned guests of the festival, such as producer and filmmaker
Blerta Zeqiri from the Republic of Kosovo, Bosnian rock legend and film score composer
Saša Lošić as well as the highly successful Slovenian film director
Damjan Kozole will also allow an insight into their work in a unique and personal atmosphere.
