At the circus in Bucharest, the new young manager tries to resolve the company's financial problems by selling their only bear, an elderly animal on its last legs, to some German hunters. When the circus performers refuse to sacrifice their favorite animal, the manager decides to kidnap the bear and run to the mountains to meet the Germans.
