Nikos Skarentzos’ musical film entitled “Rhythms and Rhymes” is a portrait of the Hellenic Hip Hop scene. The film is divided into 12 theme chapters in which the creators and protagonists of the genre talk about the history of Hip Hop in our country from its birth in the early ‘90s to the present day, with all the elements it contains such as DJing, MCing, Graffiti, Breakdance and Beatbox. Each chapter begins with single minutes (that all together constitute a short film), dramatized excerpts from the life of a group of kids – Greeks and immigrants – who live in Athens and are trying to make a name for themselves in Hip Hop. |
