After his retirement from the state forestry office, Faik moved back to his hometown and started to work the land he inherited from his grandfather. A sharecropper family takes care of his lands and his flock of goats. His son, and his two grandsons arrive on a hot summer day for vacation. They arrive at a time when Faik’s conflict with the neighboring nomads is escalating. The gathering provokes both the unsettled family disputes and the family members’ conflicts with the sharecropper family. However, for Faik the major threat to his community and land is the nomads.
