Plot
February 17th 2008. Kosovo declares independence and the Serbian government decides to organize mass protests in Belgrade where people would declare their discontent. Mladenovac, a small town on the brink of Belgrade, whose industry collapsed during the 90’s crises. Luka, 17 year-old, is the leader of a football fan hooligan group, cheering for a local football club, runners-up for the Premier league. Grown up without a real chance and without a father, in a dysfunctional family of Kosovo refugees, he is forced to do small illegal jobs for which he is under parole. As tensions because of Kosovo independence grow, the day of the mass protest nears, and Luka’s hooligan group plans an organized trip to the protests. Luka discovers that his father, who he believed to be lost in Kosovo, is actually alive and well and living with his new family in Belgrade.
When they arrive in Belgrade, hooligans from Luka’s group break store windows and steal sneakers. Luka finally arrives in front of the attacked embassies which are lit on fire, but the violent protests are already over, and he, realizing the meaninglessness of it all, decides to leave the protest and find his father that abandoned him long ago.

Finally, Luka comes back to Mladenovac, ready to face the consequences of his deeds.
