Two Italians a general and a priest set out on a trip to Albania to collect the remains of the Italian soldiers killed during the war. The general and the priest have been asked by a senior colonel’s wife Beti to identify his remains. They discover that the colonel had raped a young girl and had been murdered by her mother the old woman Nica. Based on novel by Ismail Kadare with the same title.
