A musical film entitled after the ballet Cuca. Gjin the insubordinate highlander is excommunicated. Because of this his daughter is not baptized. She is given no name and therefore is called Cuca (meaning lass in Albanian). Cuca receives support following the National Liberation War only. She is involved in setting up anti-illiteracy courses. In the end the covert gangs manned by those same persons who excommunicated her father kill her.
