August and Mimis’ famed night club “The River” in Livadia needs an orchestra since the Supreme Convention of Greek-Americans at Delphi has already begun. From the crack of dawn musical groups from all over Greece begin to arrive and compete for the gig.
In the space of twenty-four hours the forty musicians and singers, both familiar names and newcomers, rehearse their songs, argue, take a trip down memory lane, flirt, while eating, drinking, singing and playing music.
