One or more than one people from every family died in the war that has been going on for 30 years in the East and South-east of Anatolia. Grandmother Velvet, who lost her son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, takes off to get her 12-year-old grandson back that went to the mountains after his father. Two things are important for Grandmother Velvet: first, continuation of her family; second, education of her grandson. Despite her old age, she faces difficulties and takes long journeys for her grandson who joined PKK. She does not lose her hope. She finally arrives at the PKK camp but her grandson refuses to go with her.
Four months pass by. Grandmother Velvet stil waits for a phone call or a ring at the door. One morning, she is informed by a phone call that says her grandson escaped from the camp and he is waiting to meet his grandmother in a small town of Anatolia. She starts a new journey to meet her grandson. |
