“You can’t compare black and white and color, but I think I need color in my life anyway.” The work of photographer Stratos Kalafatis – born in Kavala and based in Thessaloniki – is presented in this documentary, which is part of the Viewpoint series. His personal use of flash in photography often creates an otherworldly relationship between his object and the environment. This element is emphasized by the use of color and the processing of the film, creating a palette which walks the fine line between the real and the invented or the imaginary.
