‘Hicaz’ translates literally as ‘barrier’ or ‘obstacle’. It tells the story of various characters suffering from physical or psychological complaints… Their complaints are as much modern-age diseases as they are old as human history: loneliness, despair, disaffection and, perhaps most importantly, lack of communication… The film is made up of five different stories. Each story revolves around a different struggle and, just as in the world we live in, each character impinges upon the other, consciously or unconsciously. |
