The uprising of the villagers of Megara against the junta's decision to take over a vast agricultural land in order to build an oil-refinery, and their successful struggle against this call, this being the first massive demonstration
against the totalitarian government. 

The documentary of Yorgos Tsemperopoulos and Sakis Maniatis was shot in 1973, back when ecology and environment where terms unheard of in Greece. The destruction of the ancient olive grove of Megara was one of the gravest ecological disasters in the country, and it was recorded by the two filmmakers with powerful cinematic language, in one of the most important documentary films of contemporary cinema.
