Plot
Missing Times is a powerful documentary that portrays the struggle of those who have lost their loved ones during the Srebrenitsa Massacre. Hadice Mehmedovic is a Srebrenitsa Mother who lost her husband and two children, and could only retrieve their remains 10 years later, Mirsad Duratovic witnessed the demise of all his family members except his mother at the Prijedor Massacre. Featuring stock footage and testimonies of survivors, such as Hadice and Mirsad, Missing Times documents the massacre. "The Srebrenitsa Massacre is considered the biggest massacre of the 20th century from two different aspects: that the massacre was committed in Europe, the centre of human rights and democracy; and that it was carried out right in the UN security zone with NATO soldiers taken captive. The children of the new generations will need to grow up without a dream of the future, with the fears and memories of the past. With this documentary, I wanted to focus on the remains of those who survived." – Faysal Soysal
