Ana, an actress who lives in Berlin, comes to Belgrade to play a role in the movie "Country". After meeting with her friend Marina, who uses homemade family films for her artistic work, Ana begins to explore her own family history. She learns that, decades ago, her late father was present alongside his friend Jovan when a girl called Ružica committed suicide under mysterious circumstances. Ana tries to find out more about Ružica and her death from her mother and Jovan, but the police warn her that she should not bother Jovan, who is now a respected public figure. However, she does not give up, and her private investigation is joined by Bojan, a policeman who holds special affection for her. Following trails from the past, Ana faces secrets and suspicions that her father was the perpetrator of a crime.
