Plot
The large number of wind turbines being arbitrarily dispersed across invaluable regions of the mainland and islands of Greece in the name of clean energy gave rise to an investigation that took more than two years to complete. The main goal of this documentary is to shed light on the environmental, financial and social consequences of this policy and the aftermath of the so-called “high priority” investments supported by huge subsidies. Windbag of Aeolus focuses on the local communities’ struggle to prevent the conversion of the ecosystem that surrounds them into an industrial zone. At the same time, it follows the path of money from political offices to the tops of the mountains.
