His advanced studies in philosophy have caused Stephanos to view all people as his inferiors. When he is discharged from the army he thinks the world belongs to him. In reality all that does belong to him are debts left by his mother who has just died and rejection by his formerly devoted girlfriend who has replaced him with a new lover. Nikos, an old high school classmate whom he hasn’t seen since then and who has all these years distinguished himself as a criminal, proposes that they rob the bank where Aris works as a teller, Aris who was the epitome of the social revolutionary in their teenage years and Stephanos’ Pygmalion. The film’s hero will plunge into the brutality but also the magic of real life, on his way towards maturity. |
