Coop 99 was founded in 1999 by three authors, directors Barbara Albert, Jessica Hausner, Antonin Svoboda and cinematographer Martin Gschlacht. All four are equal managing directors as well as producers for the company. In 2002 Coop99 was joined by Bruno Wagner as producer and line producer. Team coordinator has been Nina Korecky since January 2010.
