Faruk Lončarević, director from Sarajevo, born in 1975.
Studied at Academy of performing arts in Sarajevo, graduated in 2000 with theatre play Lulu, Frank Wedekind. His first professional play "Nightmare about Bosnia", Youth theatre, in 2001 win the “Brave new world” award, at International theatre festival MESS.
He spends two years in Indonesia on postgraduate studies in traditional theatre. In 2005 he is back to Sarajevo where he shoots his first feature film "Mom and dad", which wins the jury award on Sarajevo Film Festival, and takes part in more than 20 festivals around the world.
He’s an associate at Film elements in Sarajevo (Academy of performing arts) and in Tuzla (Academy for drama arts). He occasionaly works for television (Disappearing paradise, documentary series) and again in theatre (Mousefuckers, Almir Imširević, 2009).
