Moma Dimic was born in 1944 in the village of Mirijevo, near Belgrade, where he graduated in philosophy at the Philosophical Faculty. Wrote poems, short and long stories, novels, travelogues, essays, plays and scenarios. Published the following poetry books: Gypsy Bed (1968), Russia‘s Creator (1976), Poet and Earthquake (1978), Dedications (1986). Translates from Swedish,including a selection of Tomas Transtroemer‘s poetry (1991).

He died on June 8th, 2008 in Belgrade, the city where he was born and which he loved so much.
Dimic traveled all over Europe, Australia, Asia, Africa, America, making friends with numerous famous writers, such as Ferenz Juhas, Thomas Transtremer, Vladimir Voinovich, Bulat Okujava, Eduard Limonov, Antonio Porpetta, etc.
