Lucas Akoskin has been producing diverse projects such as feature and short films, music videos, live concerts and large scale events for over a decade. He began his career as an actor on Argentine television. Upon moving to New York City in 2001, he produced and starred in the mockumentary The Doorman. Developed with Gigantic Pictures, the breakout film showcased Lucas as actor, writer and producer. The film played at several esteemed film festivals before opening nationwide in the United States. Lucas produced the documentary The Disappeared (2008), directed by Peter Sanders and winner of the top prize at Montreal International Film Festival. The film was shown in theaters in Latin America and was broadcast in the US by the History Channel. Lucas produced a series of shorts with acclaimed Latin American talent, including Guillermo Arriaga, Jorge Furtado, Leonardo Bechini and Andí Baíz. The films screened at several international film festivals and were released theatrically in Latin America. |
