Graduating from Lycee de Galatasaray in Istanbul, Yoel moved to Chicago to study Industrial Engineering at Northwestern University. He worked at the Film-makers" Cooperative in New York from 2004 to 2006. After he returned to Istanbul, he worked as General Coordinator at the distribution company Chantier Films and as Project Manager for Medyavizyon"s Web-TV channels. In the meantime, he also worked as a documentary producer at Bocek Yapım and freelanced as line-producer in a few music videos and short films. Yoel"s experimental videos have been screened at Toronto, Edinburgh, Thessaloniki and !f Istanbul film festivals.
