Iliya Kostov is a Bulgarian director, writer and producer born in 1954 in the town of Sliven, Bulgaria. At the beginning he worked as a teacher in Bulgarian Language and Literature, AD, Editor, Art Director. As a Head of the Centre for TV Film Art in BNT he produced 80 films. A Management Council Member and Chairperson of the Dramatists’ Guild in the Bulgarian Film-makers Union and Management Board Member in Filmautor, Bulgaria, a Deputy Chair of the Bulgarian Associations of Film, TV and Radio Scriptwriters and Directors. Professor in Cinematic Dramaturgy in the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts. Writer of 15 film scripts and 2 novels. Director of 7 feature films
