Levent Semerci was born in Istanbul in 1973. He is a graduate of the Cinema and TV Department of the Eskisehir University Communications Faculty. For a certain period he worked in Germany making cabaret shows. He directed many commercials and many music clips in Turkey. Breath (2009) was his first feature film, where he was also the film’s producer, scriptwriter, camera operator, and editor. Ayhan Hanim, his second feature, world premiered at the Instabul Film Festival in 2014.
