He has been rapping since 2007. He became known as an underground rapper in 2008. In 2010, MC SWAT joined a rap group called Street Beatz but left the group to work on his solo career in 2011. In the beginning of the February 17th revolution, MC SWAT became well known for his song “Hadhee Thowra” which was released after the fall of the Benghazil military garrison and has since then become well known as a rapper in Libya. In 2011 at the Benghazi Music Festival, MC SWAT received the prize for best artist in Libya for that year. He continues to use his music as a tool to raise awareness. |
