Menelaos Tzafalias is a journalist and producer, based in Athens, Greece. Recently, he started contributing to the opinion pages of Al Jazeera English. He grew up in Apartheid-era South Africa and Communist Romania, meaning he believes that positive change can come, even if you don’t expect it. The last documentary he worked on was OR Media’s Michael Portillo’s Great Euro Crisis, which was shown on the BBC’s prestigious This World strand. He joined the Palikari team after filming was completed in the role of associate producer.
