Nesimi Yetik graduated from the Theater Department in the Faculty of Language, History, and Geography at Ankara University. While studying at Ankara University, he had an ineterst in films. In 2003 he first directed his short film "Zan Şer Hiç." In 2006 he shot his second short film "Annem Sinema Öğreniyor," with which he received a short film award in the Berlin Film Festival. In 2008 Yetik shot the film "Döşeğimde Ölürken," which was screened in many film festivals including the !f Istanbul Film Festival. He currently presents the TV program "Kısa Metraj" on Cine 5. In 2014 he received the Best Film Award with his film Spirit of Dust in the 21st Golden Boll Film Festival.
