Laura Bispuri was born in Rome, where she graduated in film and cinema. In 2003 she was selected by Domenico Procacci to be part of Fandango Laboratory where only 10 out of more than 800 applications in Italy were selected. She attended this school for two years, following courses with directors such as Garrone, Sorrentino, Crialese, Muccino, Chiesa, Vicari, Ken Loach. Bispuri made several short films and a documentary until in 2010 she won the David di Donatello for Best Short Film for hear short PASSING TIME. The short film was awarded in many festivals in Italy and abroad and was selected from the seven most beautiful shorts in the world for 2011, presented in Paris as part of the César Awards. In 2010, she directed SALVE REGINA, presented at the Film Festival in Rome Extra session. In 2011, she shot BLONDIE as part of the project of perFiducia BancaIntesa, formerly inaugurated by directors such as Sorrentino, Salvatores and Olmi, this time under the supervision of Salvatores. In 2011 she also won the Nastro d'Argento as an emerging talent of the year. |
