Levent Soyarslan was born in Istanbul. He studied Control and Computer Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. He worked as a system analyst and R&D engineer in industrial automation field. After completing his military service, he went on to cinema. In 2012, he wrote the original story and script for OHA: In Search of Oflu Hodja, which he also produced, directed and edited.
