Nedim Lončarević is a documentary filmmaker and writer. After studying political sciences at the University of Sarajevo, Lončarević started his career as a journalist in former Yugoslavia. Between 1985 and 1990, he was in charge of the documentary program Noir sur Blanc / Black on White that was broadcast on Sarajevo Television. In 1992, he was appointed the head of Sarajevo Television. He has also written and directed many documentaries that were selected to represent former Yugoslavia at international festivals. La fin d'un Empire / The End of an Empire was screened at the Monte Carlo TV Festival in 1990. Vol au dessus de la Bosnie / Flight Over Bosnia aired on RAI 2 in Italy, and was screened at the International Festival Of Audiovisual Programs in Cannes (FIPA) in 1993 and at the Cinéma du Réel - International Documentary Film Festival. Finally, Tunnel, The secret of the siege of Sarajevo was honored by the Parisian Senate and won the International Prize for Mediterranean Documentary and Reportage in Marseille in 2010. |
